Shadowrun: Hong Kong

In 2015 I worked as a designer on Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Harebrained Scheme’s 3rd installation in their lauded RPG reboot of the classic game.

I was responsible for the creation, implementation, polish, and oversight of 5 in-game missions. Including DeckCon 2056, City of Death, The Sinking Ship, Uninvited Guests, and Bad Qi.

Work on the missions involved, writing the concept and basic script for the scenario (working in conjunction with the writing team). This would include quick character bios of NPCs that were specific to the missions, as well as developing a theme or art direction for the space. Additionally laying out the level’s space and geometry, scripting and constructing gameplay / combat. Followed up by iteration on the above while coordinating with art teams to improve look and feel of the spaces. Concluding the process with polish and bug fixing on all scenes which I oversaw.
